The Gathering of Friends Cookbook
Volume 3 has just been released and arrived in the store today. This one is called Celebrations. For those of you who already have the first two volumes, you know how wonderful these cookbooks are. If you are not familiar with them, we know you will love them.

Haiti Crosses/Designs
Amazing story... A couple of years ago Debi and I got to see videos and pictures of these metal designs being made in Haiti. They are made out of 55-gallon steel drums, and it is incredible to see how quickly the men pound out the designs. This Fair Trade company helps an entire village make a living wage by creating these beautful works of art.
However, when the horrible earthquake hit Haiti, no one could reach the people in the village. We didn't know what had happened to them or if we would ever get any more of their products.
This January their booth was back! We were so happy to see them, and to get an update on the village. Several men had family members die in the quake, but none of the workers. They had many new designs and it was just great to be able to order more of them.
Our customers love these, both for their beauty and for the wonderful cause they help support. Many have asked if we would get more - now we can answer YES! Come in and see all the new designs they have done!

A few pictures from our shopping trip
These are the most wonderful Sonoma lavender-stuffed animals. Debi is holding Lovey the Lavender Lamb and Spunky the Lavender Monkey.
Whenever you need a little pampering, cuddle up to your Lavender pet. Microwave it for a minute for a heavenly-smelling warm hug. The removable insert is filled with lavender to soothe, and flaxseed to hold the heat. What a great gift idea for young and old!
Freddy the Tree Frog is filled with fragrant eucalyptus oil and lavender. He took us back to wonderful childhood memories of Vicks and a warm blanket!
Woof and Poof is one of the most creative and unique vendors we carry. This picture doesn't even do justice to their adorable stuffed pillows and dolls. We sold out so quickly last fall, most of you probably didn't even get to see them.
Not to worry, we have lots of Halloween and Harvest coming in again, plus Christmas for the first time. We had a hard time deciding which of these cuties to order!!

Christmas decor was so fun this year, don't know why we didn't take very many pictures!
It was beautiful, it was whimsical, it was nostalgic ---
you will be as excited as we were when you see all of it.
Our favorite find: half trees! They are flat on one side so they can go in entryways, small rooms, anywhere you want, and come in 3 different heights - four, five and six feet tall. We didn't get many, so we know they'll go fast.
